As long as people have been dreaming, they’ve been attempting to interpret them. Not only do people dream, but also if you have ever looked at your dog or cat while in deep sleep, you may see him or her running. She or he is probably chasing something in his or dream. It shouldn’t be a much of a leap to believe that lions, tigers and bears as well as other animals dream.
Trying to understand and interpret them is just human nature, isn’t it? When looking at the hieroglyphics in the pyramids or drawings by the early people of China and Africa, we know that these are pictures of the images they saw in their dreams. Many of them date back to at least 3000 B.C.
Believed to be messages from their gods, during the ancient Greek and Roman times, dream interpreters often accompanied the men in battle. Interpreting dreams as prophecy or warnings, often guided the soldiers in a particular direction.
Understanding the meaning behind your dreams can assist you in reaching your subconscious mind. If you want to know what something means, once you are awake and can remember your dream, write it down. If you’re struggling with an issue, it may help you to figure it out.
